Introducing Bruce Perkins

Bruce has been facilitating interventions in Indiana and throughout the Midwest since 1984. His education includes an Associates degree in Chemical Dependency Family Therapy from St. Mary's College of St. Catherine, in Minneapolis, MN. His BA from New York State University, Albany, NY, in Family Counseling and his MA from Ball State University in Muncie, IN in Executive Developement for Public Services.

Bruce Perkins is a Board Registered Intervention Specialist II, BRI II, by The Association of Intervention Specialists, AISCB, an international credentialing board. Through NAADAC, National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, Bruce is a National Certified Addiction Counselor at the highest level, NCAC II. The state of Indiana has certified Bruce as a Licensed Social Worker, LSW and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT. Also in Indiana he practices as a Certified Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor at the highest level, CADAC II. These certifications must be maintained with continuing education that includes the latest developments in the field of addiction and recovery.

As well as his twenty-eight years of intervention experience, he has twenty-years experience working in an inpatient treatment setting with addicts and their families, friends and co-workers. His wide range of experiences dealing with addictions and addictive family systems gives him insight, compassion and understanding that helps each participant get the most out of the intervention process. He has worked with those in various lifestyles and cultures and believes that each person has opportunities to grow.

Service Area

Perkins Intervention's main service areas are in Indiana and surrounding states, including Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Bloomington, LaFayette, or Muncie, IN, Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH or Eastern IL or Southern Michigan. Occasionally, there is a need to travel to one coast or the other, particularly Florida. If Bruce cannot travel or is already booked for the time you want, he can and does recommend other intervention specialists.
